Beyond The Slopes

Our valley has some fantastic sightseeing locations, 19th century French architecture, shops and bars galore! Chamonix is a thriving and working town with the charisma, hustle and bustle to match, while from our chalet in Argentiere you have an ideal ski location, vibrant local bars and shops, with Chamonix a short bus ride away.

Sightseeing opportunities include Montenvers and the Mer de Glace, where a short steel cog train journey reveals the end of the Vallee Blanche and glacier as far as you can see. There’s even the ice cave for the little ones if you dare! The Auguille de Midi is spectacular and on a good day you can see Geneva or even Lyon protruding behind the immense glacier, or why not sample the Alpine Museum or the weekend market?

The picturesque Mont Blanc Express is on hand to whisk you through beautiful mountain passes to Martigny in Switzerland, or pop through the tunnel for lunch in Courmayeur, Italy, or even for a spa in local St Gervais.
