About Us

Life in the mountains is often simple and always adaptable, so our Valley Fever chalet hosts, chefs, drivers and cleaners are also the company owners and directors – plus of course a choice few mature fun loving guys and gals who care about service and the mountains as much as we do!
 |
Simon – Head Chef, Chalet Host & Co-owner:
Simon left school at 15 and turned straight to his passion of cooking. He is a fully qualified chef with 15 years in his trade and has worked among some of the finest hotels and restaurants in Brighton. Along the way he has served Jimmy Carr, Van Morrison, John Prescott and Tony Blair. Now he has overall responsibility for Valley Fever’s cuisine.
During the summer Simon returns to his home turf and has recently worked at Kensington Palace and The London Eye. Simon is a passionate skier and will most commonly be found heading smoothly down a red run. |
Gary – Sales & Marketing, Chalet Host & Co-owner:
Gary took a more corporate route to Valley Fever and after university he worked in several management roles before taking up a new life in the mountains. He’ll be the one you speak to or email, your first point of contact with Valley Fever and probably your transfer driver too.
Gary is a snowboarder by heart but owns as many pairs of skis as he does snowboards. He’ll be the one ‘working’ hard, enjoying himself ski hosting with you. |

Sarah – Chalet Host, Operations & Adaptable Problem Solver:
Sarah joined Valley Fever last year and helps bring balance to the team. She’s worked several seasons in the Alps and has a fundraising background in the charity sector. Before moving to Chamonix Sarah ran a chalet in Morzine and recently spent 4 months in a car travelling around Europe!
Sarah is a snowboarder and also learning to ski. She works hard and doesn’t like to miss a minute on the mountain. |
As a team we are flexible, we care, and we’ll do whatever we can to make your stay as perfect as possible. We look forward to meeting you soon, sharing the mountain and a glass of wine!
